Focus: What is visualization? How does visualizing help active readers?
Objective: Students will use an outline to compose and revise paragraphs.
1. Writers Notebook #16
2. Independent reading and reading log (today's strategy = visualize).
3. Advisory conferences.
4. We reviewed instructions and an example of writing well-developed paragraphs.
5. We each flipped a coin to see whether to write a summary or response paragraph. Then we each wrote our assigned paragraph about "What Students Really Need to Hear" with help from the outlines we created with our partners last class period.
Homework: No homework.
