Focus: How can I clearly explain an idea in writing?
Objective: Students will write a well-developed analysis paragraph.

- T = topic sentence (1st sentence to introduce topic and state your main idea)
- E = evidence (what accepted facts support the main idea?)
- X = explanation (how does the evidence connect to the main idea?)
- repeat E & X as much as needed
- T = tie-up (final sentence to reinforce the main idea)
