Objective: Students will make an interpretive claim about the effectiveness of a speech.
1. We reviewed the results of our writer's notebook checks and reflected on our progress in a status report (p. 82 of notebook).
2. We were introduced to our rhetorical analysis assignment and looked at samples of the types of claims we could present in our rhetorical analysis.
3. We each set up individual accounts on Canvas in preparation for online discussion board posts about The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
4. We worked independently on our speech analysis worksheets.
For next time: Complete speech analysis worksheet. Read chapters 24-27 of The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and complete online discussion post #1.
