What do we think about the contrasts in Book 2 of My Ántonia?
Objective: Students will 1) analyze how contrasts convey meaning in literature and 2) begin drafting their personal narratives.
1. In small groups, we discussed our reading responses to My Ántonia and nominated representatives to share each group's ideas with the class.
2. In the computer lab, we worked individually on "quick-write" drafts of our personal narrative assignments.
For next time: Read pages 137-161 of My Ántonia. Also, bring a copy of the draft of your personal narrative paper to class next time.
